Ditch the cookie-cutter double deckers and take an authentic San Francisco trip aboard the Magic Bus- the only time-traveling tour in town!Arrange your visit to Magic Bus and discover more family-friendly attractions in San Francisco using our San Francisco visit planner.
The Magic Bus is not your typical sightseeing tourist bus. It is an innovative groovy-movie bus that takes you on a 90-minute ride through modern San Francisco while flashing back in time to the Summer of Love.
How does the Magic Bus work?
It’s half tour bus, half movie theater - blending documentary film, music, and psychedelic art into an unforgettable experience. You’ll see the cultural highlights of San Francisco out your window, then screens lower and 16 micro-projectors fire up a visual narrative of the 60s that brings the past to life. Historic images meld with the present day, displaying San Francisco both as it is now and as it was when hippies wore flowers in their hair.
But there’s more - the Magic Bus is not a simple bus tour, it tells the story of a generation transformed by the turbulent 60s. Original voices, sounds, and music give a personal feel for the places that defined an iconic era in San Francisco, and show why so many kids headed out to San Francisco to create a better world.
Created locally by Antenna Theater, producers of the Alcatraz audio tour, the Magic Bus is truly an only in San Francisco experience! Co-Produced by TeacherBus. More info, videos and reviews at www.magicbussf.com

We had a blast! We had a groovy soul tour guide but the most fun were the other passengers and the people on the streets who were great as we shouted peace and love from the windows. Will go again!
Walking around here as tourists do. Was approached by a 'blood' gang member trying to get me into one of the bus tours. Told him nah and because i didnt like his attitude i went to a competitor bus right infront of him. Did think that he was going to fill me with bullets as he was real angry and to be honest basically a lowlife. Anyways I had a good laugh and waved at him as I was leaving, which seemed to infuriate this gang member. Saw him most days down there and gave him the cheeky g'day and a wink just to pester him after his stinkin attitude. Most likely gambling with my life but am still alive, so worked out well. If you see him make sure you do the crip walk
