Presidio Pet Cemetery reviews
It was cool to visit last year! There’s fencing and construction around but on a Sunday stroll we were able to wiggle through the gates. Cute names for the loved pets. Awesome site more »
This place does exist! Was created for military families who had pets while The Presidio was an active US military base and needed a place to bury their deceased pets. There are tombstones. Looks like the last time a pet was buried here was early 1980s.
A stumbled across this hidden gem after hiking through the national cemetery which had been fenced off and looks like there was a construction project going on around it. Quite a bit of care had been taken to preserve the cemetery which was a really bittersweet reminder of how much we love our fury friends.
