Connecting San Francisco and Oakland, is one of the area's landmarks and one of the most recognizable bridges in the world. With its two double-deck spans, the total length of the bridge is 7.18 km (4.46 mi). The west span connects San Francisco and Yerba Buena Island, while the east span connects the island with Oakland. The west span went through a substantial seismic retrofit project, and the whole east span had to be replaced. The current east span is among the widest bridges on earth. The bridge provides excellent views of the city skyline. This is a toll bridge, and the fee depends on the day of the week and time of day. San Francisco Bay Bridge Reviews
El puente y su nuevo diseño arquitectonico es muy bueno, lastima los grandes embotellamientos que se organizan de salida o entrada a San Francisco more »The bridge and its new architectural design is very good, it hurts the large traffic jams that are organized from the exit or entrance to San Francisco
家族写真を撮ったり、ベンチがあるので座って海を眺めてる方も居... more »I knew about the Golden Gate Bridge, but I didn't know there was Aberidge until I checked in san francisco. I went to Amrak by pick-up and drop-off when I went to Yosemite. On the way back from Auckland, I felt comfortable because it passed through the top (actually the window is closed, but it is a problem of the feeling) the view from the ferry building is good and the bay bridge is beautiful. There were people who took family photos and sat down and looked at the sea because there were benches. The night view which was lit up is good, too.
Although it's not as pretty as the Golden Gate bridge (arguably), it is MUCH longer. And it's actually 2 bridges with a tunnel connecting it in the middle. I was lucky enough to be able to drive under, over, and sail underneath it (Part of it is a double-decker bridge which I drove on the underside). It's still one of the oldest suspension bridges in the country and is well-maintained. It's also the gateway to Oakland and the east Bay.
Amazing bridge. Its unbelievable that it has 2 story’s and its stunning how long it goes. You can also exit off the bridge to see Treasure Island. As a Canadian I do not know much about the bridge.
