Went hiking with a 6 year old in January. Very pleasant walk. Even played next to the creek. Peaceful. The path we were on had mountain bikers, so you hear a strange sound and whoosh, one would pass.

20 minutes from home and you get to beautiful 7.000 acres of nature land, with beautiful trails, birds and wildlife to enjoy. Thereโs no water at the moment and they are working in repair it, so bring your own. We love to hike here and camp ๐ all of the time! The park rangers are the most kind. Such a wonderful park.๐

Great hiking trails. I recommend the Juaneno Trail. It's an easy 2.68 mile one way trail and you see amazing bluff cliffs to your left and so much cactus! I've never been on a trail with so much cactus. It was like a cactus wonderland. If you decide to hike on the Badger Pass Trail, there is no shade and it is very steep. I think it's worth it though for the views you get. They also have a wonderful Nature Center and a few souvenirs for purchase. $3.00 for a day use pass. I went during a weekday and only saw three people on the trail. Bring lots of water as it gets hot in this park not just during the summer months. Enjoy!
