Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens houses a small zoo in a tropical tree-filled setting that also features a tree-to-tree aerial course, water playground, miniature railway, and carousel. Visit the zoo and feed the giraffes, wander through the herpertarium to see reptiles and amphibians, and see the fossa, the largest predatory animal of Madagascar. In the adventure park, a zipline course runs through the tree canopy, allowing you to view the world as tree-dwelling animals do. Bring your swimsuit and cool off in the Wharton-Smith tropical splash ground. A little train takes you along a 1.6 km (1 mi) track through wetlands, woods, and a long tunnel. • Not your typical zoo!! Great adventure and wide variety of animals. Lots of activities for the kids and adults to partake in. Mini water park where the kids can play while the adults relax. The rhino ...  more »

  • Good place for a two hour visit. Its a good place to hang out with little kids. They have a train ride and a carousel at the entrance( need separate pay other than ticket). The walk is very relaxing and they have most animals (Giraffe, Tiger, cheetah, leopard, black bear, Rhino, Alligator, Crocodile, bald eagles, small monkeys, lemurs ,wild cats, otters, etc) which kids love. They also have a park inside. The pet zoo and Giraffe feeding will be interesting for little kids. Its not tiring at all. Loved it.
  • The boardwalks were great for walking around. A lot of the animals were out and about and we got to see them feed the porcupines. The giraffe feeding is definitely worth doing but be aware it's all based on the giraffes themselves and you might not get to do it (they'll refund your money if you don't get to). Afternoons are a good time to catch some feedings by the zookeepers. The zoo isn't huge and can easily be accomplished in 2 hours.
