Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, California’s oldest surviving amusement park, offers classic funfair attractions in a seaside setting. Ride on the Giant Dipper, a world-famous wooden roller coaster that has thrilled visitors since 1924. Make sure to keep your eyes open to catch superb views of the beach. For more vintage fun, take a spin on the Looff Carousel, a hand-carved merry-go-round that dates back to 1911. Try your luck on carnival games, play old favorites in the video arcade, or swing a round of mini-golf. Refuel with boardwalk classics, such as corndogs, pretzels, cotton candy, and saltwater taffy. • A great way to spend a day in Santa Cruz. We didn’t ride any rides, but we were plenty happy watching people riding rides. The people watching is excellent. So is the funnel cake - highly recommended. We had such a good time. We will definitely go back on our next trip to Santa Cruz.
  • This is one if the best boardwalks in California on the beautiful Santa Cruz beach. The vendors are plenty and there are quite number of rides. As it is most popular with the tourists, it could get busy during summer months or weekends. Everything costs little bit more here and parking could be a challenge. The access to the beach is easy just few steps away from the boardwalk. The view during sunset is quite nice.
