Santa Monica Place is an outdoor shopping mall in Santa Monica, California. The mall is located at the south end of Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade shopping district, two blocks from the beach and Santa Monica Pier. The mall spans 3 levels and is anchored by Nordstrom. The mall also features a movie theater, called ArcLight Cinemas. There are two vacant anchors that previously were Century 21, which closed in December 2020, and Bloomingdale's, which closed in April 2021. The mall's tenant mix is predominantly upscale, featuring Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Emporio Armani, and Diane von Fürstenberg.

It underwent a massive, three-year reconstruction process beginning in January 2008 and was re-opened as a modern outdoor shopping mall on August 6, 2010.

  • So fun, vibrant and something for everyone. Great pedestrian area any time of day. Night time offers sidewalk entertainment. A lovely oasis to enjoy.  more »
  • Decent high end mall with some nice food options also such as Cheesecake Factory, however the selection of shops is not the wide unless you want to go to department stores such as Nordstrom.  more »
  • Pretty fancy outdoor shopping mall at the end of the Santa Monica Promenade! There is a spectrum of retailers at different price points from Gucci to Bath & Body Works. They have comfortable seating, clean restrooms, competent security and interesting events from time to time. There are lots of restaurant options at Santa Monica Place and I highly recommend checking out the top floor food court. You can get an ocean view meal for a pittance!
  • The mall was renovated few years ago and now looks like a major tourist attraction. It's not as crowded as it used to be. However the service in every level was good. Many high name brands are there. Lot of tourists as it is located by the train station and also the Santa Monica Pier.
