Visit Charles M. Schulz Museum, dedicated to "Peanuts" comics and featuring 7,000 original comic strip drawings and various artwork. See the recreation of Schultz's work area, with his original drawing board. You'll meet the evolving personae of Snoopy, carved in a 43-layer wooden sculpture, and see a mural of Lucy and Charlie Brown containing 3,588 comic strip images painted on 5 x 20 cm (2 x 8 in) ceramic tiles. You can learn to become a cartoonist in the education room, where hands-on activities invite would-be artists of all ages (it's included with the price of admission). Browse through original artworks created for the comics, see Shultz's personal items, such as his hockey jersey and cartooning trophies and awards, and take a walk through a labyrinth in the shape of Snoopy's head. You'll find other treasures outside the museum, including a cafe and ice skating arena. Please check website for up-to-date hours. • I've always enjoyed Peanuts and still often read it to my husband on a Sunday morning. This museum is a great chance to see what influenced Charles Schulz and inspired him to create Charlie Brown...  more »
  • For those that grew up on "Peanuts", this is a must do. There is a lot of reading of the various comic strips but also placards that discribe the exhits. Don't forget to look and take pictures...  more »

  • Excellent - not only for Snoopy fans but for anyone that wants a history on comics and the influence that Charles Schulz had on the industry. The Museum is staff by friendly staff and there's tons of presentations and comic strips all throughout. Make sure you spend time at the theater. Admission here is cheap ($12.00 for adults) and well worth it and shaded parking is free. Facilities is clean. One note is they have a small souvenir shop but for the true Snoopy experience walk across the street to their big gift shop.
  • Lovely place to visit to learn about Charles Schulz's life and his creation. Visiting this museum gives me a deeper understanding and appreciation of his creativity and patience in producing these lovable comic strips. There is a nice mural made purely of comic tiles which is remarkable and the replica of his workspace on the second floor is neat. There's also an ice cream shop and cafe across the road. Oh and I recommend watching the short video on the first floor which tells you more about Charles' life. Worth spending up to a couple of hours here and the volunteers are super friendly and love their jobs.
