  • We try to take our granddaughter here each time we are in the area. She is 3, and it is perfect for her. On a recent visit it was busy - with families happy to have a day of sun. Not all of the amenit...  more »

  • Best City Park EVER. We are so blessed to have such a large city park surrounding a lovely lake with two play areas. There's a wonderful walk on a paved path as well as dirt paths. please visit and find out for yourself all the wonders of this park.
  • Great park, full details are in my Spring Lake Park review, but here's more... Lots of free parking in the upper lots and additional parking in the lower lots. A playground with a rock climbing wall for the kids. Rentals of water toys; paddle boats, stand up paddle boards, life jackets, etc. Several spots near parking lot to picnic and feed the ducks. Fantastic path starts here to walk a 3.5 mile loop around Howarth Park, into connecting Spring Lake Park and back. Gorgeous walk with tons of trees and shade. Mostly flat with a couple small hills. Lower Howarth has a second huge playground, with a water feature in the hot months, a make believe town, a huge climbing jungle gym and more. Large grassy lawn for play and rest. Several covered gazebos for use on a first come first serve basis. In the warm months they have Movies in the Park held here on Friday nights. During events like movies the are food trucks available just off the lawn. They also have a small engined train for kids to ride a short park loop and pony rides next to the station in the summer. In the upper parking lot, a concession stand opens in summer time as well. Public restrooms are located in the upper lot, near to playground path. In the lower lots on Summer field they have tennis courts, baseball fields. Restaurants, and a yogurt place across the street for when you work up an appetite playing at the park😊
