  • Excellent series of story boards on the Luther Burbank story & botany in Northern California. Gardens were very nice; still, could use a little TLC. Note: due to COVID restrictions, house was not.....  more »

  • Right in the middle of the town. Easily accessible location. We were happened to be in town for another event at Veterans memorial building and decided to stop by. It was the end of August, so less of the flowers on the ground, but I could imagine it may look very different in spring time with more variety of flowering plants. A beautiful gift store carrying a great selection of garden/plant related items.
  • Enjoyed a visit here during its Christmas Open House in 2016. The house, greenhouse and carriage house were nicely decorated for the season. Even Santa and Mrs Claus were there. Santa played the guitar, and they both sang Carols. Docents and gift shop personnel were in period costume. The house and grounds are well maintained by a dedicated volunteer group so that it appears as near as possible as it was when the Burbank family lived there. Cookies and hot cider were available in the green house. The grounds were open to the visitors and have notable plants of Burbank's influence. No charge for the open house.
