  • This is an excellent museum that has many detailed displays. In particular I enjoyed the “Great War” pieces that included detailed uniforms. It was a relaxing and enjoyable way to spend the morning...  more »

  • A great little museum, a lot of artifacts. It took a couple of hours to tour, I didn't stop and read every sign or plaque either. Staffed by volunteers and veterans, a small gift shop. There is also a veterans research center here as well. I recommend it.
  • This is an absolutely fantastic way to kill a few hours if you are in any way interested in the history of New York and the wars the U.S. has been involved in. Incredibly well-curated, there’s just a wealth of artifacts and information that goes beyond the broad strokes that a lot of us know. Also, it’s free! There is a suggested donation, however, and that’s what helps keep this museum running so well.
