Listed as a National Historic Landmark, Saratoga Spa State Park is best known for its mineral springs but is also home to a variety of cultural, historical, and recreational activities. The area was deemed a State Reservation in 1909 after businesses were exploiting the springs and depleting them. After World War II, veterans and Holocaust survivors were brought to the springs to benefit from its medicinal effects. Now the park boasts two swimming pools and two golf courses--a championship 18-hole course and a 9-hole course. Visit the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Roosevelt Baths and Spa, or the other museums located in the park. Take a free guided "tasting" tour of the springs to sample the different types of mineral water. If you would like an appointment at the spa, be sure to make reservations ahead of time. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Saratoga Springs holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Saratoga Spa State Park and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

This is a huge tranquil park with something for everyone! This park is easily accessible with plenty of parking. You'll fall in love with the paths and trails that snake through this historic land. Bike rentals, golf, tennis courts , BBQ areas and restrooms will give you plenty to do. The park is also the home of two famous museums, the automobile museum and the museum of ballet. Beautiful park in Saratoga. Park offers many different activities. Lots of walking trails and springs to see! Very cool spot to stop at as you make your way up north! Pet friendly, lots of parking, and clean restrooms. Small entry fee but worth it as park and facilities are kept very clean.
