As you walk through the engine room, be sure to take note of one of the few remaining triple expansion steam engines. Step into the crew's quarter's to get a feel for their living accommodations. Picture yourself at the ship's wheel as you tour the pilot house. Take a moment and imagine life at the helm!

Other exhibits inside this maritime museum, visitors can learn about the Great Lakes, the shipping industry, the Soo Locks, and a memorial and exhibit to the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald and her crew. • Really cool experience walking and touring this old freighter and learning about some of the history of the locks and shipping on the great lakes. If I remember right they have a military/veteran...

  • Wonderful place for cheap! Enjoyed every moment. Very blessed I was able to see everything
  • Loved it. Exactly everything it was promised to be in the brochure, plus you have an amazing view of the locks and freighters passing by from the top deck. The artifacts from the Edmund Fitzgerald are very cool to see in person. The living quarters have been well preserved, and the placards throughout the ship are very detailed, pointing out aspects of the ship/artifacts that would be easy to miss.
