  • Overall a fun family experience. Friendly for young children and by stroller. 1.75 casual walking trail that our 5 year old and 3 year old did well with. There are good animal exhibits along the trail. The double level of fencing shows that they go above and beyond to help protect their youngest viewers. A great place to bring a lunch as there are several picnic table locations near the parking lot/main building. Lastly, the main building has some really cool exhibits that are easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention. Their rates are $5 for adults, $3 for ages 4-17, and free for 3 and under.
  • Oatland Island is beautiful, relaxing, and educational. Toddler Tuesdays are amazing for the kiddos. The trails are well kept and easy to follow. I have severe ankle problems and can still manage these trails. The boardwalk on the marsh area has amazing views. There are plenty of animals to see. There is also information and a gift shop inside. The butterfly garden is quite adorable at the end
