There is so much to see in Savannah Historic District. It is best seen on foot. There are guided tours, walking as well as trolley. We took the hop on hop off trolley tour and also walked a lot. This part of the city is simply amazing with so much history on every turn, every street. Thoroughly enjoyed walking around the city.
My first time there and it was amazing! I am not one for tour buses, but we decided to chill and learn some history. The architecture and design of these homes and buildings are unreal, it looks like one big movie set. Very similar to homes in our area of Springfield in Jacksonville, but Savannah is on another level. The restaurants and businesses seamlessly flow with the historic buildings, and it is nice to see that people and visitors do not litter, and they respect the surroundings. The parks/squares are nice areas to sit and rest and get some shade, and possibly run into some people that need a picture taken. Very impressed with the city and this area, especially.
