Create an itinerary including Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum
Take a self-guided tour of Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, which features galleries and gardens full of maritime artifacts. See intricate models of well-known ships in glass cases, including some of the first to bring over colonists, such as the Anne. Most impressive is the model of the famed Titanic, complete with miniature lifeboats lowering off the side of the boat. The museum is inside the Scarbrough House, which was built in 1819. The house was commissioned by one of the owners of the Savannah, the first steamship to cross the Atlantic. Admire the marble floors and elegant decor, and leave time to visit the landscaped gardens. • This is a beautiful old home that has been turned into a museum for their vast collection of model ships of all sizes. In addition, there are many really interesting maritime artifacts from sailing...

  • Beautiful gardens, scenic pools of water, excellently kept historic house, has an alternate handicap entrance, cool air in the museum, intricately detailed ship models and histories, paintings, MANY ships called Savannah, and a gift shop at the entrance/exit. Recommend to those of you with a maritime interest! (GROUPON almost always has a sale for these tickets!)
  • It was really good! I personally loved it, my wife enjoyed it as well, but I think got a little board after awhile, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. The best deal is to get tickets as a package with one of the tours.
