  • I miss this place so much; every time I'm in Illinois, a visit to my old hometown library, is essential. The audio-visual room, is a blast to go through, and discover. The fiction room, downstairs, has a fireplace, and comfortable chairs; and the non-fiction upstairs, is spacious, and great to explore. Miss you guys. ☺️
  • This is a great library for doing extensive research on a variety of topics. Though, I must make one criticism of this particular establishment, which is the incessant noise. When working in a public institution, it's imperative for those who pay into it to receive the best possible experience possible. The staff has always been friendly upon any inquiries I have had - always providing steadfast assistance in finding a book, researching a topic, or information relevant to the topic. That being said, I would strongly implore those in authority to implement a stricter policy for noise reduction. A mild annoyance is hearing people talking loudly instead of whispering and those with children screaming incessantly around those trying to concentrate. A library is, more or less a place for peace and quiet. I would hope this matter would be taken seriously.
