Had a delightful time visiting the Aridus Wine Company Tasting Room today in Scottsdale. We had been there a little over 3 years ago and enjoyed our time then but thoroughly enjoyed it today. They were offering 5 tastings for $10 from the wines they had available which was a great assortment of both red and white wines. My husband and me both bought a flight. I tasted the whites, he tasted the reds. Zak, our server, was very knowledgeable about the wines we tasted and suggested to me what order to taste the whites in and made recommendations in doing so. We are more of red wine lovers than white wine so I was glad for his expertise and help. All of the wines we tasted were great but we had our favorites, the 2016 Merlot and the Franc, and purchased a bottle of each of them. If you purchase a bottle of wine that was over $20, then your tasting fees were waived. Since we got 2 bottles that were over $20 each, our tasting fees were waived. Zak was a very personable server and we totally enjoyed talking with him about a variety of subjects, including wine, his passion about it, the region the grapes grew in, cultivating grapes, etc. It was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be back down the road to see what new wines are available to taste.
