  • When I was a Scoutmaster, our troop made the hike many times, and years later I took my wife up there also. It's mostly uphill, but not steep. Take a lunch and water so you can have it at the top...  more »
  • What a beautiful place. We took the chance to take a walk up the mountain. We walked through a wonderful landscape with dense green forest. The road up to the trail head is narrow. Be prepared...  more »

  • Great hike. Challenging even for advanced hikers younger and in better shape than me, but possible even for a middle aged guy carrying around too much weight like me, or some of the seniors I saw out there too. Definitely benefits from trail angels who have put down mesh on rocky parts of the path. The summit is worth the effort and view, but it's not a good place for a picnic due to wasps. There are sheer cliffs but the trail is safe.
  • Limited Parking Space. Either reach early which is before 10 AM or reach after 3 or 4 PM. The route is pretty simple and it's very easy to follow. The first peak is easy the second one is pretty steep. About 4.5 mi is the round trip. There are small shortcuts every now and then but it's up to you you to take them Viewpoints are beautiful giving a view of the valley.
