See a variety of marine species, including small crustaceans, eels, and a giant octopus, at Seaside Aquarium. One of the oldest aquariums in the United States, the space was once a public saltwater bath. The original pipes from the 1920s are still used to feed water to the tanks. For a fee, you can feed the harbor seals, the aquarium’s talented and popular residents. Visit the touch tank to feel the textures of starfish, anemones, and sea urchins, and view the ocean’s tiniest species through microscopes. Note that the facility is on the small side and can get crowded on busy days. Plan my day in Seaside using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

Hadn't been here in yrs and the seals are still entertaining guest who feed them. Enjoyed how they greeted my wife and grandkids with clapping and splashing.

Small and awesome little aquarium! My daughter has been asking to see an octopus and they have 2 fairly large ones! We also saw lots of fish, crab, snails and shark. My daughter also loved the two areas where you can reach in and touch snails, sea cucumber, starfish and sea anemone! Don't forget to feed the seals! So much fun!

Well we went to the beach on a storming day without knowing it would be that way. This was a prefect stop to occupy my children. We were there for almost 2 hours and they still didn't want to leave. Feeding the salsa Seals was so impressive because they perform for you. The touch tanks were so fun. All the staff helping the kids were super personable. It was a great experience.
