Chihuly Garden and Glass features a comprehensive exhibit showcasing the work of Dale Chihuly, a renowned American glass sculptor and entrepreneur. Despite the considerable technical difficulties of working with blown glass, Chihuly uses it as a primary medium for large installations and environmental artwork, some of which you can see at this gallery. The artist's complex and colorful glass sculptures fill the eight-room greenhouse. Stop by the adjacent garden to see a blend of nature and more blown-glass creations. Definitely worth the trip! The tickets may be costly for a ~30min tour but it’s very worth it. There were only a few rooms but you can sit and take time to appreciate every artwork. There’s also scheduled demos outside in the garden area and an AV room explaining the process. And a pizza cafe if you go hungry. It is not part of the museum but I must mention the violinist outside (you can hear him from the garden area) contributes a lot to the overall experience. He wasn’t playing when we went in but he was by the time we reached the garden area and it just made the experience even more special. It makes the ambience even more magical! I wasn’t hyped seeing the photos when we were deciding whether or not to go, even if it has been recommended to us a couple times from friends. But photos don’t do it justice. You need to see it in person to elicit a reaction/emotion. Definitely recommend and would love to go again to show to other family members who haven’t been. ♥️

It's easy to bypass this incredible museum when you are visiting Seattle and going to the famous Space Needle. But plan to spend an hour or more at this museum. I could have wandered through it all day. The glass exhibits are so colorful and gorgeous. Pieces are unique and whimsical. I had not read much about it, and was so surprised at how spectacular it was. The museum has many large indoor rooms, and the garden is unbelievable. You really have to see it.There is also a Cafe (check out the decor even if you don't eat there.) and a lovely gift shop. Highly recommended!
