Emerald City Trapeze Arts started in Seattle, way back in 2009, as Gary Kirkland's dream to bring the thrill of trapeze and other aerial performance arts to the land of rain and evergreens. Located in Sodo's historic Canal Boiler Building at Lander and 6th, weekly classes in flying trapeze and aerial arts, including silks, rope, hoop and various forms of conditioning are taught by experienced instructors from Cirque de Soleil, Club Med, Ringling Brothers and performance stages around the world.

  • I've been taking classes here for a few months and I'm obsessed. I take classes with Ethan and he's amazing. He gets to know each of his students (and there are a ton) and he makes sure to teach the class at the right level for each student, so we develop and learn and are challenged to keep going forward. His classes are fun and positive and I can actually see myself developing. The shows they put on here are insane. They're fun and crazy and wild and so impressive. They're super cheap considering the quality of the acts.
  • We went there for the date night experience. It was one hour of partner acrobats and one hour of trapeze. And it was amazing ! If you want to try out something different on a date, I’d highly recommend this place. The staff is very friendly and the arrangements are pretty neat!
