  • This is EXACTLY the thing I’d like to know about in advance to visiting a city! Be part of the audience for the taping of a radio show all about Seattle cooking/food scene. And the hosts are a couple ...  more »

  • What a WONDERFUL experience. My best gal pal got me a sushi making class for my birthday and it was so much fun. The food was delicious, the energy was beaming of positivity and my goodness... the staff was nothing short of amazing. So friendly, helpful and fun. Highly recommend to everyone.
  • Whenever we travel to other countries, we've started trying to take cooking classes. We find that discovering the food of a place, helps you understand it better...and we love to eat and want to recreate deliciousness any way we can! While we live in Washington, we'd never done a cooking class. Serendipitously, my parents saw an add for a Bao making class and got us tickets for Christmas. Fast forward to this past weekend where we had one of our favorite experiences in a long time! Plus we got a glass of wine or beer whilst cooking - The Montucky Cold Snack paired particularly nicely with the whole night! "Bow to the Bao" was a class focused on Bao making, from dough, to filling to the actual teaming. It takes place on the second floor of the Hotel Andra in downtown Seattle and was intensely entertaining and informative! Jamie Freedman was our chef and is great at her job! She's smart, funny, low key and made the whole class easy and fun. Classes range from 2 hours, to a whole weekend, and rumor has it, to an entire week as they used to run summer camps! Sounds like they may be restarting it in the near future. The Bao class was 2 hours long and showed us everything from mixing the dough all the way to fun folds! Great class and a fun way to learn something new and unique, in a great setting! We came, we made, we baked, we ate - a great night indeed!
