Kobe Terrace is a 1acre public park in the International District neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. It incorporates the Danny Woo International District Community Garden. Named after Kobe, Seattle's sister city in Japan, it occupies most of the land bounded on the west by 6th Avenue S., on the north by S. Washington Street, on the east by Interstate 5, and on the south by S. Main Street.
Some of the wood structures in the Danny Woo Garden were constructed by the Howard S. Wright design/build studio of the University of Washington College of Architecture and Urban Planning under the direction of Steve Badanes.
The former Nippon Kan Theatre is adjacent to the park.

  • End of March this year just the cherry blossoms bloom, just very nice. The garden itself is nothing special with the noisy highway in the back. Worth a visit for the flowers

  • I came here to see the cherry blossoms and thought it was a gorgeous place. Just wish it was a little bigger. Loved the views and the Danny woo garden as well.  more »

  • Oh this spot is heaven on earth, great for picnic, date, view of the city, and explore the community garden...
  • A good place to see Japanese cherry blossoms in spring.
