  • Probably my favorite park in Seattle. The walk down to and along on the waterfront is simply gorgeous, as is the wooded area up the hill from the water. The air feels very fresh and clean from the wide variety of trees and plants in the area. Great place to go for a long walk, especially if you have a dog (though you can't bring them on the beach). Even if you don't, the trails here are popular for dog owners, many of whom will likely be happy to let you get some pets in with their pooch. It's also a great place for a family BBQ. Finally, it's supposedly a good place to watch for marine mammals (seals, orcas, river otters, etc.), but I haven't personally seen any. Regardless, highly recommend visiting here!
  • One of the best parks & open spaces in Seattle. Great trails, access to Puget Sound, picnic shelters (including some down by the beach) playgrounds away from traffic, forested areas - it's awesome. One of the must-do places I bring out-of-town guests to.
