Treat your kids to an array of imaginative, engaging activities at Seattle Children's Museum, where each exhibit is designed to be interactive, entertaining, and developmental. Kids can explore the science behind motion in Cog City, build a fort with everyday materials like sheets and shoeboxes, get comfortable with eye exams (using play materials) at the eye clinic, and search the indoor mountain for native Washington plants and wildlife. Keep in mind entry requires a child younger than ten years old. Check the website for a calendar of daily programs and events. What a great place to spend a few hours with your little one. There is a breastfeeding room, plenty of space and things to play with, kids have a blast. Went there today to blow a few hours before nap time and my 16 month old had a great time running around and playing with other kids. There are clearly areas for bigger kids and some areas that are specifically set aside for the little ones so that they don't get run over. Totally love it. A total gem in the heart of the city.
On an outing to Space Needle, my 3 and 4 year old granddaughters caught sight of the Children’s Museum from the Armory food court. They HAD to go. They explored every nook and corner and thoroughly enjoyed. What impressed Nana the most was the staff. They treated the girls as special guests, with true enthusiasm and delight in sharing their experience. Thank you !
