Take in the sights and scenery, including the Space Needle, the Great Wheel, Puget Sound, and Mount Rainier, from atop Smith Tower. The 100 year-old building was once the tallest on the West Coast and now offers 360-degree views of the Emerald City from 149 m (489 ft) up. Ride up in the old-fashioned elevator and step out into the China Room, where you can see the antiques and carved ceiling that were gifts from Cixi, the Empress of China. Take a seat in the Wishing Chair, said to bring good luck. You can use both indoor and outdoor observation decks; visit on a clear day for the best views of Mount Rainier and the surrounding mountain ranges. Smith Tower is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , world travel planner Edition.

Great place for photos. The bar at the top has a good atmosphere, Bartender made a great drink for me simply because I requested a "RUM SOMETHING".

Disclosure: I am a rum runner. I’ve been going to the Smith Tower for years and have never had a bad experience. Staff is always friendly and the food and drinks are always delicious. Waits can be long on weekend evenings and you cannot make reservations in advance, so be prepared. Great prices on the weekday happy hour specials as well.

Loved the history of this building. The place is beautiful. You need to buy tickets to go to the top, it's the same ticket if you want to visit the restaurant/bar. One of the things that I was most impressed with was the elevators, they are so pretty. Truly recommend visiting.
