Enjoy panoramic views of Seattle and the surrounding water from 184 m (605 ft) in the air at Space Needle. A symbol of the city since it was built for the World’s Fair in 1962, the tower features a 360º observation deck. Ride the elevator to the top for unobstructed views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, Elliott Bay, and the surrounding islands, before stopping for a meal at the rotating SkyCity restaurant. Take a jacket with you when visiting the tower, as the observation deck is known for windy conditions. Plan your visit to Space Needle and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Seattle road trip tool.
Space Needle Reviews
It's quite hard not to be impressed by the sight of the Space Needle soaring iconically 180-or-so metres above the skyline. My visit to the Space Needle came as part of my Seattle CityPASS ticket... more »
Awesome place to visit and you can really see Seattle nicely. A must do and pretty much one of the 2 touristy things you can do in Seattle. more »
Sunsets are too good. Go on a day with clear sky and I'm sure you will like the view. Rotating Deck is interesting. The restaurant on the top floor would be a great place during sunsets! I recommend to visit on a weekday if you want to experience everything peacefully and quickly. Weekends aren't too bad though.
Once we figured out system for managing large crowd, our visit went quite well. View was spectacular, new glass floor was fun, and Santa was outstanding in his space age sled. We all had something to drink and a snack while we watched the city spin . Fun family day.
