You don't have to be a student to enjoy the beautiful campus, as well as the cultural and sporting events at University of Washington. Founded in 1861, the university is one of the oldest institutions of its kind on the West Coast. Enjoy views of the Cascade Range to the east, and the Olympic Range to the west, as you walk the campus. Stop by the quad, the most photographed spot at the school, and a great place for a picnic or relaxing in the grass with a book. The quad is also lined with Yoshino cherry trees, which bloom between mid-March and early April. Explore the school's botanic gardens, visit the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, or see the latest exhibit at the Henry Art Gallery. If you're game to cheer on the Huskies at one of their many year-round sporting events, check in with the university's athletic ticket office. Best investment of my life. I was terrified as a 18 year old high school kid coming here. I blossomed and grew into what I am today and couldn't have done it without U of W. From my spouse who I met there to the job that I have now that I give full credit my education there. Thank you!
The real UW ;] Great university, would highly recommend. A nice diversity/demographic and a department for nearly everything. Great location and food everywhere~
