  • Very nice park. We stayed in their campground. It’s kind of small but our spot was perfect for us. It had lots of shade and some privacy. The lake was closed . The weather was perfect.

  • We stopped in here for only one night on the way home from VA to SC. We had site number 12. a back-in site with full hook-ups, a fire pit, and large picnic table. It was gravel, level, and well...

  • This is a nice little park. The new bathhouse in the camping loop is great. You can actually shower without soaking your clean clothes. And you get to control when the water turns on/off! No motion sensor. Camp hosts kept everything super clean. If you combine several of the hiking trails you can put together a nice hike. Sometimes the blazes/trail markings aren't great, so you might want to use an app for way-finding. There's also a swim beach available (when it's open) and apparently you can sometimes rent a kayak to paddle around. If you've read other reviews, you know there are a lot of ants in this park. We did not have any problems with them while camping. We were careful about not leaving food out and had no problems at all.
  • Had a nice time hiking a couple of trails. Good place to bring dogs and very nice scenery. Great shade on trail. Lots of large ants though that had an uncanny ability to wind up on shoes, ankles, and dog paws. More of a nuisance than a problem. Park office is very nice. Little museum inside. Hope to camp in future
