  • Loved the general store. Employees are very friendly. Things are nicely displayed and have good prices. Will definitely be back.  more »
  • Mel was absolutely fantastic! A very close second was adding half a peanut butter taffy to my morning coffee for the rest of the trip.  more »
  • We enjoy going to the Apple Barn regularly just wish the prices would stop going up every year or eventually will have to stop visiting. We like the atmosphere and the kid's love the donuts, fried pie, Ice cream and apple cider we just can't spend $80 on a visit for sweets. Hopefully we can keep taking our family to enjoy what the have at this nice place.
  • I really was impressed by the whole area. We tried the different ciders and wines and they were good. The restaurant was really good and the serving sizes equaled the price. I can't speak about the other food around, but if they matched the food in the restaurant I'm sure it's tasteful. The apple fritters were amazing, the fried chicken was moist, I wish I had more chicken and dumplings, and the pot pie was good as well. I also had a taste of the fried catfish and it was fried just right with it not being overly cooked. The apple cobbler and the apple spice cake was also good. The soup brĂ³coli and cheese soup was creamy and hot. I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw, but I did like the mashed potatoes and the fried okra. I also have to say that the staff was kind and the waitress was very kind and funny. Would I recommend this place? Yes. I hope to return one day. It might seem expensive, but they do give you a lot of food and the sampler gives you an insight into the three different dishes they make.
