This place gives free tours with reservations. Our group of 9 had the entire place to ourselves and it was a delightful tour. Answered many questions. House is beautifully preserved and maintained with many original pieces. Guide was clear and very knowledgeable. There are stairs to climb but even if only able to see 1st floor it was worth it. The gem mussels next door was also fabulous.

Love love love ...all rock hounds are missing out if you don't go ...a must go! Call ahead and get the tour our guy was awesome , smart , fun and obviously passionate about the collection!! Lots of hands on and experiences you can only have at there!! Wish I could give it more stars!!
