  • A very nice nature park to visit. Inside are exhibits that are interactive, plus they have people that will explain exhibits, and give short talks. Outside are a few caged animals that have been given to the park because of illness or physical damage. They have many trails for the kids to walk on. Great for photographing. Excellent place for a picnic. Bathrooms available. No food or drinks available. There is not a fee that I am aware of. There are no rides or theater. A great place for a walk in the fall. The space in the building itself is crowded with exhibits so I think a wheelchair would be unable to maneuver. Schools from all over the parish have field trips here. I would make sure that a school(s) is not booked the day I went because I feel you would be shortchanged. The paths are stroller accessible and very well kept. Be sure and dress comfortably and not in anything you might not want to get dirty as kids normally sit on the ground when outside.
  • This place was pretty cool. We stopped here to let our kids stretch their legs on a long trip. There were plenty of cool animal exhibits and learning opportunities about the wildlife. There were several little walking trails clearly marked so not to get lost.
