  • Always a Peaceful, filled with beauty. You can go as high as you want, there are many layers to Carr Canyon. We drove half way and hiked the rest.  more »
  • This is a dirt road, and if you are going up as far as possible, you need to be comfortable driving narrow winding dirt roads. That said, the higher you get the better the view. You can see all over.....  more »

  • Had a wonderful hike today in Carr Canyon went to the car Canyon picnic area and parked walked across the street and hiked up the trail towards the car house site. The stream was flowing there were snow cap mountains it was close to 80° on the trail and the snow on the mountains look so beautiful and the stream was flowing like you were back on the East Coast or something to wear so much water in the Stream it was really beautiful And the great benefit of living here in the west is there were no bugs at all. Got some awesome photos which I'm going to share here just had a really incredible time hiking. Other than the ins helicopter flying in circles over my head for an hour. You will see signs warning you about illegal immigrants I have lived in the area for 25 years and have not seen an illegal immigrant ever in the Huachuca mountains haven't seen one anywhere hiking along the San Pedro River or the Huachuca mountains or anywhere in southern Cochise County for about 15 years now so please do not be words you will not run into any immigrants you might run into some very antsy ins people but you won't find any illegal immigrants it is very safe and beautiful and quiet other than the ins helicopter circling over your head which finally did go away Bring your camera or a phone that can take decent pictures all of these pictures were taken on my Wal-Mart TracFone I had a great time and the people that were there hiking and picnicking were for a helpful and helping me to find a hiking trail wonderful place wonderful time I highly recommend it
