Noted for its wide stretch of white sand, Siesta Beach is lapped by the calm Gulf of Mexico waters. Located just minutes from Sarasota, the beach features public restrooms, snack bars, picnic shelters, gazebos, volleyball courts, and showers. The powdery sand never gets too hot for a walk, so you can intersperse your dips in the gentle waves with long walks along the water's edge. Lifeguards patrol the beach all year, every day of the week, making this one of the safest spots for visitors of all ages and swimming abilities. Parking can become a challenge as the day goes on. Very beautiful and very busy! We drove around for about a half hour looking for parking and didn’t find any lol my husband dropped us off parked at our hotel then got an Uber back to the beach! It is a large beach and has food and a gift shop available. We forgot sand toys so we bought some at the gift shop. The prices weren’t bad (not great either lol) considering where it’s located. Bathrooms were normal as far as “beach type” bathrooms go. It was a little bit of a walk to the water but not bad. The water was beautiful! It really is a great beach but I honestly prefer a less busy beach any day!

Tip: Bathrooms are upstairs. Get there early, parking can be tough. This place has bathrooms, a place to wash off feet, a playground & a Counter where you can buy food and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages upstairs. There is some seating available on the upstairs deck. The beach access is great at this location and has 4 volleyball courts.
