  • This is a nice look out of Sitka where you can see some of the town and the bay. There are plaques all over showing the historical significance of this place to Alaska's history. At this location the state was sold and ownership was transferred from Russia to USA. Other than enjoy the views and read the plaques there is not much to do hear so this will be a nice 15 minute stop. Enjoy the view, get good photos and continue exploring the town since this site is in downtown Sitka.
  • No actual castle but this is where it stood. Good historic spot & excellent views. Fun little walk up. A little history atop with plaques describing the history of Alaska's sale to the U.S.
