If you are looking for an aquatic nature paradise, look no further. Join Captain Gary and his fearless, furry, (and sleepy) co-captain Niko for an epic adventure. We saw sea lions, seals, puffins, various bird and mollusk species, and were lucky enough to see a "slapper" - a whale who loved pummeling the ocean with his massive tail. It was easy to tell Captain Gary is a proud local who truly loves sharing his backyard with fortunate guests. He would even inform other tour guides of his finds so everyone on the water could have a great experience. He took pictures of myself and the other guests at the most scenic spots. The atmosphere on his vessel (maximum 6 people, we had 3 because of cruise ship timing issues) facilitates a fun and personalized experience. I could not recommend this adventure more highly. Stop reading and book!

Great experience with Capt. Gary and his wife. We did the land and water tours. By water we saw multiple whales (humpback and orcas), fish, birds, seals, and great scenery. You can tell that Gary knows his stuff and provides a great unique experience. We did not know what to expect on the city land tour but delightfully surprised by the experience. We saw bears, raptors (eagles), and Totems. This was a great way to see what Sitka has to offer. This was our best excursion and would recommend to anyone going there.
