The giant aquarium is amazing, with a few of the most ugly and beautiful fish in our part of the ocean. Continuing to the tide pool/hands-on area. Who could know what a sea star or a anemone or... more »

Small but excellent. If you can catch them feeding shrimp to the red pacific octopus, that's the best! more »

Was not impressed at all with this place. It’s over priced and offers very little for what they charge. No discount for military (which is a lack of respect in my opinion) and they closed the gift shop 3 hours early so we could not even go in.

Fun little spot in Sitka, not the typical venue for cruise ship tourists but a great spot to take your kids. It's small and won't take much time but there is a lot of interesting sea life and really cool touch tanks. The workers were extremely friendly and talked with us for a while. There's a cool salmon hatchery outside that I would recommend; they provide a self guided tour sheet and you can learn about the differences between a farm and a hatchery. Good place to visit for a family.
