  • The gift shop in the front sort of hides this small museum. It is worth going to the back and seeing the collection. The main thing is it is free. Thanks.  more »
  • Small free museum located in gift shop. Local history and artifacts. Interesting and may take about 15-20 minutes.  more »
  • A great little museum with well-curated items from the gold rush era as well as from the native Alaskans who originally occupied this area. The docent was very knowledgable and eager to answer questions that we had. For just $2 it is hard not to recommend this to those wanting to dig a little deeper in understanding the history of Skagway.
  • Very nice museum and facilities. Really enjoyed waking around Skagway. There's a nice coffee shop, restrooms, and souvenir shop right next to the museum in the train station building. Lots of interesting things inside the museum but also outside around the building also.
