Curious about the name? Here's the story:
In the early 1940s our great-grandfather set out to purchase farmland in the fruit-growing region of Smithsburg, Maryland. During discussion of sale with the old farmer he noticed a single red heifer peacefully grazing. Our family farm was purchased that day along with that lone red heifer. Some say if not for the red heifer you would not be drinking this wine.

What a nice experience! Red Heifer might have a small entertainment area, however it is big on good vibes. We took part of our date day here, enjoyed the wine, delicious sandwiches, and charcuterie board. I'd like to come back and enjoy the igloos on a snowy day.
