    Talk about a hidden gem that's off the beat path, this is it. It is at the end of a 4 mile dirt road that is off of a secondary road pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I am a Civil War historian....  more

    Host was very informative and friendly. Easy gravel path goes to various signs with information on each building/remains and history. More for the history buff to appreciate versus someone looking for cool scenery.

    Long dirt/gravel road. I was on site for about 2 hours & I never saw a person while thier or while on the way in or out. It was nice & quiet. Nice picnic tables & and a great picnic area.
