Buttonwood Farm Winery & Vineyard, Solvang

#8 of 17 in Wineries in Solvang
Winery / Vineyard · Hidden Gem · Farm
Buttonwood Farm is a small gem set amidst the splendor of Santa Barbara County's Santa Ynez Valley. Our 39-acre vineyard stretches across a sun-drenched mesa on the eastern portion of our 106-acre property. We started planting in 1983 and now have 33,000 vines, small in the world of wine, but huge to us.

Our winery was completed in time for the crush of 1989. We now produce 8,000 cases of wine a year and quite frankly, have a great time doing it. How could we not given our spectacular surroundings and the congenial winemaking atmosphere of Santa Barbara County? The satisfaction of what we do spills over to our tasting room where laughter and lively conversation abound.

So on your next trip to Santa Barbara County come visit us in the Santa Ynez Valley. We’ll be waiting to welcome you to Buttonwood Farm and taste some wine with you.

  • This was our first visit to Buttonwood. Chad greeted us in the tasting room and poured a lovely flight of wines. There were lots of people sitting outside enjoying tastings, glasses and bottles...  more »
  • The staff was attentive and flexible. Wines were good to very good. We didn’t fit into their standard flight...no problem, we got two non standard flights. We bought some wines. We will be back.  more »
  • I’ve been an imbiber club member for over 13 years and I believe they offer the best Rhône’s and Bordeaux’s in the area. The prices are reasonable for what you buy and the fact that they are a boutique winery makes their price points even more amazing. This is a family owned farm and all the staff make you feel like family. Bring your dogs as they are pet friendly, a picnic lunch and enjoy the gardens outside. Make sure you go see the baby goats and sheep in the back and ask the staff to tell you about the history of the winery and the farm. Well worth the visit!!!
