Buttonwood Farm is a small gem set amidst the splendor of Santa Barbara County's Santa Ynez Valley. Our 39-acre vineyard stretches across a sun-drenched mesa on the eastern portion of our 106-acre property. We started planting in 1983 and now have 33,000 vines, small in the world of wine, but huge to us.A visit to Buttonwood Farm Winery & Vineyard represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Solvang trip tool to plot your vacation.
Our winery was completed in time for the crush of 1989. We now produce 8,000 cases of wine a year and quite frankly, have a great time doing it. How could we not given our spectacular surroundings and the congenial winemaking atmosphere of Santa Barbara County? The satisfaction of what we do spills over to our tasting room where laughter and lively conversation abound.

My wife and I went to buttonwood as one of our stops on our anniversary trip and loved it. It was a super personal experience, being served by Kate (she is a wonderful sommelier and great for local recommendations) as well as the grounds being a gorgeous backdrop. It was actually raining while we were there, which was just perfect with the heated open patio. This is the best type of winery and vineyard. I would recommend this tasting to anyone. I went to 3 tasting rooms and 2 vineyards on our trip and this was one of 2 places that I actually bought bottles from.

The nicest employees, a beautiful property with grape vines and several different crops, and a (unique to the area) roster of classy, accessible Bordeaux-inspired wines. My favorite winery in this AVA and I can't recommend it highly enough!
