The Sanger Family of Wines, Solvang

The Sanger Family of Wines features three brands united to share the Mediterranean wine experience as we enjoy it here on the Central Coast.

Consilience, Tre Anelli, and Marianello share a heritage that is equal parts California Central Coast and Old World, with each producing unique wines.

The brands united as The Sanger Family of Wines in December 2013 and are based in Los Olivos, California.

Consilience is a scientific term first defined by 19th century philosopher William Whewell as a way to describe the interlocking explanations of cause and effect among disciplines.

This unity of knowledge, illustrated by the three interlocking rings on our label, represents the convergence of our own backgrounds, ideas and experiences that forms the foundation of our winery. Consilience wines focuses loosely on Rhone varietals as well as other varietals.

And Then There Was Tre Anelli...

In 2007 our second label, Tre Anelli, came to fruition. Specializing in Italian and Spanish varietals, these wines are sourced predominantly from Santa Barbara County.

Tre Anelli's name and label, meaning "three rings", was inspired by its sister winery, Consilience.

In late December 2013, Consilience & Tre Anelli wines became part of The Sanger Family of Wines. Bill and Jan Sanger, proprietors of Marianello Wines, welcomed us into their wine family. The Marianello brand showcases two Italiian influenced wines: Estelle Bianco and Cielo Rubio.

We welcome you to enjoy all three of our brands in our Tasting Room located in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley - in the quaint town of Los Olivos, CA.
