Great weekend park for RV and boat owners. Camping site pads could use a refresh as they are crumbly and quite uneven. Bathrooms at RV campsite loops are getting a little dated but are clean. The bathrooms around the lake are hit or miss. It seems that some are under the responsibility of the state park and some not. The ones that aren't are positively disgusting. The lake is beautiful though with tons of places to hike, swim, or drive and walk. Visiting the dam is fun too but could be a drive depending on where you are staying. Take the stairs down the dam and you can get an up close look at the water discharge or stake a place to fish. I go here often and will continue to for a long time. Be advised there is currently only one place to get boat fuel on the lake, plan accordingly.

Friendly staff, though only one computer was open, making the wait kind of lengthy. The headquarters has some drinks and snacks along with other supplies. The trails are very easy to navigate. The shoreline is very long. We spotted a bald eagle on one of our hikes. There are lots of great geocaches maintained by the park. Campsites are of good size with good privacy. The restrooms have showers. Lots of camping loops to choose from.
