  Awesome place, camping, hiking and a beautiful beach. One of my favorite places in Michigan. The hiking trails along the beach are really great. I've never had a bad experience there. Winter is also a great time to visit the park. I found it to be a awesome adventure with some breath taking views of the lake and it's ice formations. A definite must see.

  Van Buren State Park has a rocky beach. Lots of granite. We also found fossils and lightening stones. Thanks farther you walk down the beach, you will find Jasper in and out of the water. We didn't go far maybe a mile. Found a coffee jasper and green jasper. Would like to go back and walk more of the beach to see what we can find.
