Van Sickle Bi-State Park reviews
We love this hike. It is uphill and a good workout on the legs. Our dog loves it too. It is worth getting to the top to see the best view of the lake and mountains. more »
Walked to the park entrance from the Marriott Grand Residences. Took the trial up to the little waterfall (about 5mi in & out) each day we were in town. There are multiple trails in the park, so just.... more »
Beautiful park! The Cal-Nev trail is a good hike. It's a 3.5 mile loop with a pretty good uphill in the beginning. You're already up around 6000 at the start and probably go up another 500 or so. I'm not a regular hiker and I did it carrying my two year old. The trail markings can be lacking in some spots. There are a couple of scenic vistas and the whole trail is full of beautiful scenery and views down to the lake. Lots of fun
Fantastic hike. Not too strenuous but definitely a good workout. Views are amazing at every turn. Get to see some landscape scarred by fires from many years ago and some nice waterfalls. Beware the signage can be confusing... When you approach each post, look on all sides of the post to make sure you're heading where you want to go.
