    This trail is all downhill from the parking lot to the Vikingsholm Castle at Emerald Bay.  But, beware the one-mile return trip is all uphill!   The purpose of the trail is to reach the Vikingsholm...

    Quite a hike but certainly well worth it. You really get your steps in on this hike but when you make it to Vikingsholm you feel so accomplished. it is truly beautiful.
