Fort Preble was a military fort in South Portland, Maine, United States, built in 1808 and progressively added to through 1906. The fort was active during all major wars from the War of 1812 through World War II. The fort was deactivated in 1950. It is now on the campus of Southern Maine Community College.

  • This Fort is located on the campus of SMCC and parking is limited. If school is in session, there would likely not be any parking available as it’s all campus parking. We enjoyed walking around the area and seeing everything. There is also a lighthouse here at the site.
  • It was amazing to see. No parking around. There is a College near it. We couldn't park so we didn't stay for long. We where geocaching around the area. It has a nice walk way too.
