PARK WEST’S FOUNDER
Park West Gallery Founder and CEO Albert Scaglione worked in his cousin’s art gallery as a teenager in New Jersey. He learned techniques for framing, varnishing, and hanging art, and, most importantly, Scaglione learned the impact art has on people. When he gave his parents a work of art with the money he earned at the gallery, the sense of awe and joy they experienced stuck with him.
Scaglione established Park West Gallery in 1969, leaving behind a promising career in mechanical engineering. He quickly learned that—by seeking out and working directly with artists and the estates of artists around the world—he could ensure the quality and authenticity of the art he was bringing to his customers, allowing them to collect with confidence.
Through Scaglione’s tenacity and ingenuity, Park West Gallery now has relationships with over 100 major artists and artist estates.
In 1995, Park West Gallery began hosting art auctions aboard international luxury cruise lines alongside Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International. Today, Park West can be found aboard more than 100 cruise ships around the globe, including ships in the Asia market.
Guests aboard cruise ships can enjoy free art education seminars and peruse onboard galleries at their leisure. Park West’s friendly and knowledgeable art teams are always more than happy to answer any questions.
By taking art auctions out of the traditional auction house setting, Park West Gallery creates a comfortable environment where new and seasoned collectors alike can acquire beautiful works of art they will treasure for the rest of their lives.
PARK WEST’S FACILITIES
Park West Gallery’s headquarters is located in Southfield, Michigan, on a beautiful 3.5-acre site, including a natural pond and sculpture garden. The classical Greco-Roman building houses galleries featuring artwork from renowned artists as well as a diverse collection from new emerging talent.

Aways enjoy the on-board auctions...sure they are designed to encourage you to purchase art you may not need...but they are always educational and entertaining. All staff are very well educated about ... more »
On our recent cruise to the Western Caribbean the auctioneers were Mike and Dimitri. I had previously registered via the e-mail from Park West and as a result we received a welcome gift of Champaign. ... more »
If I go on a cruise and go to the art auctions, I seem to keep buying! The prices are great and the framing is even better. If I want really nice framing, you can't beat their prices. I would have given 5 stars if the free artwork given for coming to the auctions were changed out more often. My cruises over the last 3 years seems to be all the same free artwork. I have enough of the them and would like to see these changed out more often. That's the only issue I have with the auctions. Even if you don't want to buy, you always have the opportunity to win free art and that's fun.
I loved dealing with this company. Everyone was so polite and nice and went out of their way to accommodate me. I love the art I bought. I’ve hung it up and can’t stop looking at it. It brings me great joy. They are very professional and easy to deal with. I highly recommend using this company.
