Blackbeard Scuba, Southport

Absolutely phenomenal! Every part of our experience was exceptional. If I could give them a 10 star review, I would! cannot recommend Blackbeard Scuba highly enough. From our very first encounter, I knew we were in good, safe, knowledgeable, and kind hands. Lucas, our Captain and Jay, our Dive Master for the day, were better than I could ever have hoped. I was nervous diving, as it was my first time using new equipment. I’ve been open water certified for many years, but have always rented gear. On a dive in FL last month I had an equipment malfunction (again, this was in FL with a totally different company…not Blackbeard), so decided I should invest in my own gear so I could feel confident it would always work. After that experience, and being the first time in the ocean with my new gear, I was very nervous (I’d tested it in pool but not the ocean). Jay and Lucas put me instantly at ease . It’s abundantly clear that safety is their number one goal, and they go above and beyond to be sure divers have a safe, fun, relaxing day. They did everything anyone could expect and lure to make our day fun, stress-free, comfortable and relaxing. I haven’t had so much fun in years and I can’t wait to get back to dive with them again. They are hands down THE BEST around! Thank you so much to all of them!

We loved diving with Blackbeards Scuba! They were very safe, organized and overall great guys. Our group of 6 did a dive on the Hyde wreck one day and then did Meg ledge the next day.
